About Us

RAS, LLC is a partnership formed in 2008 to meet the portfolio project management (PPM)/enterprise project management (EPM) reporting needs of our clients. The four founding partners have a combined 80 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, developing software, managing projects, and consulting and training on project and resource management topics. We have held and participated in status meetings. We have been asked for data by project managers we've worked for, and as project managers we have implemented processes to collect data from others. We have analyzed the requirements for many implementations of project portfolio and enterprise project management systems for companies both mature and growing, large and small. We know something about the EPM world.

We also know something about software development and reporting. Our development work spans a wide range of industries and business types--from software for in-house corporate applications to custom applications for government organizations to commercial applications. We have designed data warehouses for project management systems and for other applications. We have written many project and resource management reports for at least five different enterprise project management products--three of these included enterprise in the name. In creating the reports or reporting solutions we have used a few more than five different reporting software tools or components.

About our product, RAS 4.0...

Simply put, we generate charts, reports and dashboards. Our built-in reports utilize Microsoft Project Server or EPK-Suite data. RAS also provides a business intelligence framework. The RAS framework allows integration of custom reports, extensions of our reports with financial, resource management or related data. RAS provides for consistent report selection, supports generation of briefing books.

We know that the audience for EPM/PPM information is broad. We support delivery of reports in the ways that these audiences work. Reports are generated using the RAS Desktop and delivered to users in the RAS Desktop, via email or uploaded directly to SharePoint document libraries. RAS supports a variety of formats including PDF or Excel. Our pivot tables and charts are interactive and easy to manipulate. And just in case you prefer to to work directly in Excel, the source data for our charts is easily viewable and downloadable.
