Extensions
RAS 4.0 provides several options for extensibility. Many organizations require a base set of common reports but they may also have unique reporting requirements or key performance indicators. These requirements are satisfied in RAS through:
Adhoc chart generation against user data such as financial information,
Addition of SQL Server Reporting Services Reports into the RAS user interface
Custom reports integrated into RAS
AdHoc charts may be generated using data from other systems, including prior versions of Project Server or EPK-Suite using the same interface used for built-in reports. For organizations with existing reports, RAS 4.0 allows the addition of SQL Server Reporting Services reports. Custom reports, charts, and dashboards generated to support specific key performance indicators may be added into the RAS 4.0 user interface without code changes.
