Interfaces

RAS 4.0 facilitates the integration of data from other systems. Transactional data from systems such as financial systems, work management systems, service request systems, and other resource or project management oriented systems is often added to EPM system databases even though the only use for this data is in reporting. The Adhoc charting and addition of customer created SRSS reports may eliminate the requirement for or reduce the complexity of some of these interfaces. Other interfaces provide data that is core to the EPM system. Custom reports and audits of this data may be added into RAS to allow seamless user access to all related data.

RAS Reports, Charts and Dashboards provide several methods which may be used to share Project Server data with other systems. Charts generated through RAS include the source data is used to generate the charts. This source data may be exported using built-in export to Excel without changes or additional coding. Reports may be exported as PDFs or Excel spreadsheets. This provides data in a consistent format generated using built-in parameters. Briefing books combined with the ability to automatically route the resulting PDFs or spreadsheets to a SharePoint Document Library also provide a streamlined way to feed data to other systems.
